Course Syllabus

Abstract

The seminar is an active form of training in professional competencies, with academics and practitioners being involved in the seminar. The course is designed to develop the students' understanding of the state of the art practices in the cultural sector and build their individual learning and career trajectories. Field visits of art institutions, guest lectures, consultations and workshops are vital elements of the course.

  • To gain individual counseling and support of the student's educational trajectory, in particular in the research activities
  • To gain a broad understanding of best practices and trends in the arts and cultural sector

Assessment Elements

Assessment Elements

  • non-blocking Essay
    The students write an essay (up to 1000 words) on a topic suggested by the instructor. The use of AI is not allowed.
  • non-blocking Assignment
    The students compile an assignment with accordance to the guidelines distributed by the instructor in advance.
  • non-blocking Participation in field visits and guest lectures
    The student is expected to participate in at least one field visit to an art institution or guest lecture organised by the mentor.
