HSE - St.Petersburg Joins International Double Degree Consortium

HSE St Petersburg is to join IMESS double degree consortium. The decision was taken at their latest spring management meeting. The IMESS consortium voted to approve the proposal for HSE St. Petersburg to join the consortium, through offering a Double Masters Degree (UCL-HSE) in Finance, within the IMESS 'Economics and Business pathway'. The IMESS consortium, which is headed by University College London, consists of 7 other European university partners, including the Moscow HSE campus. This is a great success of our campus and we are proud to be  part of one of well-known international network of universities.

University College London is one of the world's leading universities, founded in London to open up education to all on equal terms. Today its outstanding research and innovative teaching drive entrepreneurial solutions to the world's major problems. UCL is the top-rated university in the UK for research strength, according to the Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2014, by a measure of research score multiplied by staff numbers submitted. According to QS World University Rankings 2014/15 UCL is listed 5th best university in the world.

Master's in Finance is based upon the same core principles as all the other Masters Programmes at HSE – St.Petersburg: international focus, combination of theoretical and empirical approaches, interactive teaching methods, quantitative component, analytics, and the involvement of corporate partners into the teaching process.  The programme’s corporate partners include banks, investment companies, non-financial companies, venture funds and consulting companies. Among them are major international companies such as PwC, KPMG, Deloitte, as well as Russian banks and companies including Sberbank, BCS, Arsagera, Alor, Baltika, Aerospace Equipment Corporation, Alt-Invest.

The programme maintains a strong competitive advantage in the market, because there is no other programme in St. Petersburg that provides its graduates with knowledge and skills in Risk Management for non-financial companies. The programme offers a combination of advanced economic disciplines and quantitative methods and provides graduates with strong analytic competences.

HSE - St.Petersburg is happy to announce the first students' intake for the Double Degree Programme in 2016. The internationalization of education and research is a particular strategic goal of our campus and this is reflected in its research and learning and teaching activities in many ways and HSE - UCL Double Degree Programme is one of those.
