Guest Lecture "LEADERSHIP, STRATEGY, & RESILIENCE"

On December 8, students of the MP "Finance" took part in an exciting lecture by Ekaterina Vladimirovna Serebrenikova, a well-known specialist in the field of personnel management. Ekaterina has worked as HR Director for such well-known companies as JSC "Mineral and Chemical Company" (Eurochem) and McDonald's in Russia, and shared her rich experience with the future generation of managers. The event was dedicated to important aspects of modern management, such as leadership, strategy formation and sustainability in the context of constant transformation of organisations.

The lecturer emphasised the importance of managing an organisation as a living system, developing the ability to quickly adapt to changing market conditions and confidently lead a team through crises and changes. She noted that the key competence of a future manager will be the ability to survive and thrive even in an unstable environment.

Special attention was paid to the issues of digital transformation, the impact of stress on employees and ways to overcome burnout. In addition, the participants were introduced to four key roles of leaders in the transformation process: a catalyst for change, a motivator, an intermediary, and a resource organiser. These roles are essential for effective project and initiative management. An innovative topic in HR management was also touched upon - the formation of exponential thinking, which allows for faster adaptation to the new world of technology and innovation.

The students actively participated in the discussion, asked questions and received valuable recommendations applicable in real practice. Many noted that this meeting helped them to better understand current trends in human resource management and increased their awareness of their professional growth. Some listeners emphasised that such a lecture was an excellent addition to the academic knowledge gained at the university, as it allowed them to see real examples of successful practices in a large corporate environment.

The event inspired future financiers to think about new opportunities and career building methods in the face of global change, and showed the importance of combining theoretical education and practical examples to prepare tomorrow's leaders in finance.
