  • Explains possible linkages between the thematic block on economic research and the topic of state, firms, markets
  • Explains key concepts of the thematic block on economic research
  • To be more prepared to work in the international economic research context
  • To be aware of some of the variety of economic transformations
  • To be able to reason about economic processes in a wider, cross-national perspective
  • To be able to discuss the implications of the variety of paths to modernity for building social knowledge and data analysis when dealing with cross-national data
