Labor Hackathon_Job Matching Held At SEM


On October 26, the School of Economics and Management hosted the Job_Matching Labor Hackathon.

The winner of the Hackathon was the “Close colleagues” team consisting of SEM and St. Petersburg State University students with a case from Rostelecom.  

The second place was taken by the team of HSE – SPb students and Saint Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation students who successfully solved the Radisson hotel chain case. 
The SPSU Sociological Clinic for Applied Research team took third place. 

11 teams of students plunged into the cases of partner companies to find practical solutions for finding effective employees for specific jobs.
In addition to valuable experience, communication with colleagues and experts, the winners and awardees received grants, gifts and invitations to internships from organizers and partners.

Alexander Kuryachiy, Director of the Center for Applied Research and Development, National Research University Higher School of Economics – St. Petersburg, noted:
“It is important that in just one day the teams were able to analyze the databases of several thousand resumes and vacancies, and build a clear method for comparing data and even issue specific recommendations”.
