New Appointments at School of Economics and Management

Sergey Slobodyan is appointed Head of the Department of Economics and Academic Supervisor of the master’s programme ‘Applied Economics and Mathematical Methods’. Vladimir Matveenko will become Academic Supervisor of the Department of Economics.

Sergey Slobodyan, PhD in economics, worked as Associate Professor at CERGE-EI, Prague, Czech Republic. His research interests include macroeconomics, monetary economics, adaptive learning, demography, the theory of economic growth and many others. His papers were published in American Economic Journal: Macroeconomics, Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, Macroeconomic Dynamics, etc. He also worked as Visiting Professor in Kyiv School of Economics and Goethe University Frankfurt, Germany.
