Consul General of France Visited HSE St Petersburg

M Hugo de Chavagnac, Consul General of the Republic of France has given a visit to HSE University in St Petersburg this week, December 12, 2017. The Higher School of Economics in St Petersburg is among the first sites of official visiting for his new assignment.

At the meeting Deputy Director Prof. Maxim Khomyakov presented HSE St Petersburg campus and told about the existing partnerships with universities of France. Prof. Sergei Akopov and Vera Ageeva, Department of Political Science, introduced the academic collaboration with professors and came up with the idea of French Research Club launch on the basis of HSE University St Petersburg for 2018.

Consul General highlighted that he is willing to foster further improvement of academic study cooperation between France and Russia. 

HSE University St Petersburg runs partnerships with 6 universities of France: University Aix-Marseille, University Jean Moulin Lyon 3, Audencia Nantes School of Management, Institute de Tourisme, Science Po Aix, and University of Lille 1. Two more agreements are on their way. 

Each academic year about a dozen of students go to France from HSE St Petersburg by exchange, almost the same number of students come to St Petersburg. Next call for applications for international exchange and mobility is to be announced in February 2018.
