Course Syllabus

Abstract

The course covers aspects of corporate performance management from the financial perspective. Starting with fundamental concepts on organizational strategy and their alignment with operational execution, students then proceed to financial control, performance measurement and management systems that support and empower decision-making process within organizations. The course includes advanced cost management techniques, unit economics and budgeting framework to support strategic, tactical and operational decision-making process. Additionally, it covers strategic performance management tools and essential management control instrument - Balanced Scorecard. Students will work with financial models as well as corporate reports to practically analyze the linkage between strategy and operations as well as to assess financial performance.
