Expected Learning Outcomes

Expected Learning Outcomes

  • formulate a research question\purpose that is based a research problem that is clearly identified and supported by literature.
  • discuss the research topic in terms of existing research as well as key relevant constructs and theories.
  • design, develop, and write up a research methodology and carry out an empirical study.
  • present, discuss, and describe the results of the study by providing meaningful explanations and interpretations, highlighting potential contribution to theory, and suggesting possible implications for practice and research.
  • understand the concept of research ethics and possible consequences of fraud and plagiarism in scholarly research
  • revise and edit drafts, provide feedback to peers, and adhere to the existing standards of scholarly communication

    Homework includes a variety of short assignments that could assist students in thesis writing.

    This assignment aims to encourage the students to think of their thesis research and elaborate on the research question\purpose and its justification in terms of relevancy\timeliness, originality\novelty, and potential contribution to theory and practice.
  • non-blocking Methodology plan presentation
    This assignment aims to encourage the students to think of the methodology of their thesis research.
  • non-blocking Extended research proposal pre-defense
    This assignment provides students an opportunity to present and defend their thesis proposal.
