Doing Business in Asia: Opportunities, Traps and Professional Knowledge

HSE University continues a series of public discussions as part of the «Inspired by Your Bright Future: HSE Business Talk» project. This time the project has designed a special webinar - Doing Business in Asia: Opportunities, Traps and Professional Knowledge - dedicated to the Lunar New Year's celebrations.

Asia, and primarily China, is a place for many opportunities. Simultaneously, it can be a real trap for foreign businesses because of the lack of professional knowledge and understanding of nationally specific traits.

On February 11, at 7:00 pm (MSK) Alexey Maslov, Professor of the School of Asian Studies at HSE University and Acting Director of the Institute of Far Eastern Studies at the Russian Academy of Sciences, will share best cases in doing business in China and South-East Asia, reasons for ups and downs in promoting new projects, models of correct social networking, and the real costs of doing business in this region.

Alexey Maslov is also a member of the Board of the Russian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce for Trade in Machinery, Technical and Innovative Equipment. He is Master of Martial Arts and Vice-president of the International Shaolin Wushu Federation. Dr Maslov also hosts «Oriental Box», a weekly programme on the Vesti FM radio station.

The meeting will be held in ZOOM with the Q&A sessions. Please register here for participation.
