HSE University-St Petersburg Holds Meeting with Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Technology Innovation of the Republic of the Congo
Madam Delphine Edith Emmanuel Adouki, the Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Technology Innovation of the Republic of the Congo, visited HSE University-St Petersburg to get to know its educational programmes. The meeting was held at the initiative of the Congolese side following the negotiations with Denis Sassou Nguesso, the President of the Republic of the Congo.
During the meeting, Anna Tyshetskaya, Director of HSE University-St Petersburg, demonstrated the campus opportunities and spaces of the facilities. The minister shared the plans to create new public universities in the Republic of the Congo for which the experience of HSE University would be in demand among African partners. In the framework of this project, the minister expressed an interest in involving HSE experts in educational projects of the Republic of the Congo.

HSE University has significant potential in improving the quality of educational programmes and close cooperation with various regions. We are successfully implementing double-degree programmes with such universities as Yaroslav-the-Wise Novgorod State University, Southern Federal University, Novosibirsk State University, Smolensk State University and others. These successful models can be adapted to increase the quality of educational programmes in the Republic of the Congo. Promoting the best practices and technologies of the Russian educational model abroad is an important direction of our work, and we are ready to share our experience and knowledge with our Congolese colleagues.
A strong interest of other countries in cooperation shows the relevance of HSE expertise in the sphere of academic culture and education which can help to shape modern educational programmes and train highly qualified staff. During the meeting, the parties discussed the internship opportunities for professors and university heads as well as the active participation of HSE University in developing and implementing new educational directions.
Madam Delphine Edith Emmanuel Adouki also conveyed an invitation of Denis Sassou Nguesso, the President of the Republic of the Congo, to the Republic of the Congo to discuss the cooperation prospects personally.
On June 29, Denis Sassou Nguesso, the President of the Republic of the Congo, came to St Petersburg after a high-level meeting in Moscow in the framework of the official visit to Russia. He gave a speech at the Academic Council of HSE University—St Petersburg where they discussed the cooperation between Russia and the Republic of the Congo in the sphere of education.
