TOP 5 in Russia: Reaching New Heights

This year has been filled with new heights in rankings for HSE University – St Petersburg. The latest one relates to enrolment standards in Russian universities and covers admission to Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes.

The Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, Yandex and HSE have presented updated results of annual ranking by enrolment standards. The ranking is based on admission to full-time Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes.

HSE University – St Petersburg has improved its standing on the ranking and reached the 5th position among Russian universities. Only 4 universities - Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (State University), MGIMO University, HSE University (campus in Moscow) and Saint Petersburg State University – have taken higher positions.

469 students have been enrolled for state-funded places. Their Unified State Exam scores are outstanding: 90,5 (max. – 100) on average. Every fifth one holds prizes of Russian Intellectual Competition Council. The average figure has increased by 1,7 points. Moreover, only 7 universities in Russia have reached comparable results (90+ exam scores), including MEPhI and ITMO University.
