On 22 March, as part of the last lecture of the course "Corporate Finance",  Alexander Shvarev, Ph.D., partner of Corporate Finance. TeDo and a member of the Academic Council of MP "Finance", gave a guest leacture on the topic: "Estimation of the cost of the company capital: practical aspect".

The lecture covered theoretical aspects and practice of calculating the cost of capital of companies in various industries. How to estimate the average market profitability and is it possible to use benchmarks for capital valuation? What are the specifics of calculating the components of the CAPM model and what makes the experience of the American market interesting? How to determine the cost of capital for companies that have already gained a stable position in the market and for start-ups? On all these and many other questions the students of the 1st year of MP "Finance" received detailed and applicable in practice answers. The lecture took place just before the exam and allowed students to pass the exam brilliantly in one of the key courses of the programme.

It is very important for the implementation of the MP "Finance" to attract practitioners who are ready to share their experience, hold discussions and argue the importance of corporate finance. During the implemented disciplines and mentor seminars, members of the Academic Council of the programme, practitioners share their experience and state-of-the-art practices of working in corporate finance.
