We are glad to announce forthcoming open research seminar of St Petersburg School of Economics and Management with support from European University in St Petersburg and Dutch Institute. A well-known specialist in experimental economics and expectations formation, professor Cars Hommes (University of Amsterdam) will present his paper «Expectations in the Laboratory. The seminar will take place on Oct 21, 2016, at 17:30, at Kantemirovskaya 3A, room 346.

Intellectual Capital to Be Discussed at HSE St. Petersburg
The 12th Annual International Workshop ‘Intangibles, Intellectual Capital and Extra-Financial Information’ will take place from September 22 – 23, 2016, at HSE’s campus in St. Petersburg. The workshop is being organized by the European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management (EIASM) in conjunction with HSE and the University of Ferrara. This event will be a new step in the long history of this forum, which is aimed at academic exchange of theoretical and empirical qualitative and quantitative research regarding intellectual capital.

The research on mergers and acquisitions is been contitued
The article “Determination of an Optimum Premium Paid in M&A Transactions in Oil and Gas Section” written by Oksana Shevyakina, a student of the Master’s program “Finance”, and Varvara Nazarova, an associate professor of the Finance Department, was published in the fourth issue of the “Journal of Corporate Finance Research” in 2015. It is the second published article dealing with mergers and acquisitions that has become a result of the collaborative work of our students, graduates and, of course, university professors. Daria Luzina and Elena Rogova’s article has been published before.
Mergers and Acquisitions in Emerging Capital Markets: The Value Is Proven
The research of the graduate of the master's program "Finance" Daria Luzina (co-authored with academic adviser Elena Rogova) was approved at the International Conference of the GSOM Emerging Markets conference 2015: Business and Government Perspectives.
