Course Syllabus

Abstract

The course provides contemporary business ethics and CSR knowledge which is required by every manager: 1) knowledge of basic ethical theory (utilitarianism, deontology, virtures ethics etc.) 2) ethical virtures system in the capitalistic system 3)understanding of CSR and sustainability concepts and ability 4) understanding of psychological and situational reasons for unethical decisions and ability to work with these factors in practice;And skills 1) to apply ethical theories and CSR-concept to various business dilemmas; 2) ability to design and use of mechanisms of managing ethics in the market (competition, state and self-regulation) and in the company (compliance systems and sustainability management) 3) competence in indentifing and solving ethical dilemas.The course will include several intercampus activities where students of various campuses will work together online: 1) role games simulating decision- making and communication in the real companies, 2) debates and critical discussions of the moral dilemmas and challenges from contemporary business agenda.
