Career Path Niken Tia Sugianto

Hello everyone! My name is Niken Tia Sugianto, and I am from Indonesia. From a young age, I have always been fascinated by the power of data and how it can drive business decisions. As industries become increasingly data-driven, the ability to analyze trends, optimize strategies, and make informed decisions has become essential. This passion led me to pursue my Master’s in Management and Analytics for Business at HSE University (2021–2023)—a decision that has been instrumental in shaping my career in people analytics, marketing analytics, business intelligence, and global operations management.

Career Path Niken Tia Sugianto

During my studies, I gained hands-on experience in multiple roles, from working as a Social Media Analyst and running my own online business to managing international operations in a global travel tech company. Each of these experiences contributed to my analytical mindset, which was further enhanced by the courses I took at HSE University.

One of the most impactful aspects of the program was its strong focus on data-driven decision-making. Courses like Data Analysis for Optimization of Marketing Expenditure and Analytics Tools Expert provided me with the expertise to interpret complex datasets and improve marketing strategies—skills I applied in both my social media role and entrepreneurial ventures.

Another crucial learning experience was People Analytics, which played a significant role in shaping my understanding of global partnerships. As a Third-Party Provider Precheck International Manager, I found this course particularly relevant in assessing partner and client interactions, making informed business decisions, and fostering strategic collaborations.

Additionally, Statistical Method Analysis and Research Methods in Management were invaluable in developing my research capabilities. Under the guidance of Professor Natalia Volkova, I conducted a People Analytics-focused research project, which further strengthened my analytical and decision-making abilities.

Beyond the coursework, HSE University stands out for its strong industry connections, real-world applications, and interdisciplinary approach to business and analytics. The program not only helped me gain technical expertise but also refined my strategic thinking, leadership, and problem-solving skills, all of which are essential in today’s competitive global market.

For those considering this program, HSE’s Master’s in Management and Analytics for Business is an excellent opportunity to gain a versatile skill set applicable to both industry and research. It has undoubtedly been a game-changer in my career, opening doors to diverse opportunities and preparing me to thrive in today’s competitive business environment.
