About the Double Degree track
The Double Degree program track is implemented under an agreement between HSE St. Petersburg and the Autonomous Popular University of the State of Puebla (Mexico). Under the agreement, students of the "Data Analytics for Politics and Society" program can spend their second year (3rd and 4th semesters) at the Autonomous Popular University of the State of Puebla in the Master's program in Applied Economics, while students from the Autonomous Popular University of the State of Puebla can come to HSE St. Petersburg. Upon successful completion of their studies, students in the Double Degree program track will receive degrees from both universities.

The Applied Economics Master's program at the Autonomous Popular University of the State of Puebla is interdisciplinary. It allows students to expand their knowledge in data analysis, programming languages, project management, and spatial and agent-based modeling methods.

Who can apply?
- 1st year students that study at the HSE St. Petersburg Master’s Programme Data Analytics for Politics and Society
- have a certified knowledge of the English language at the level not lower than IELTS 6.0. or TOEFL IBT 88 or the relevant language test results confirmed by HSE St Petersburg (the Double Degree Track is delivered in English in both universities)
Application Procedure
The track is open for 1 best student who is going to be selected by the Programme Board of Master in Data Analytics for Politics and Society based on their academic merits and motivation.
Applications and required documents should be downloaded in Nomination Form (for Double Degree Programme) . The application period: 31.01.2027 - 06.03.2027. The call and the list of the required documents you can find here.
Tuition Fees
Students participating in the double degree track pay tuition fees only at the Home University (if applicable).
The other costs associated with the program should be covered by the students:
· international travel;
· accommodation expenses;
· mandatory health insurance for international students or equivalent private insurance;
· textbooks and miscellaneous expenses.
Final dissertation
DDP students are provided with a co-supervisor from the Host University and prepare the final dissertation to meet the requirements of both universities.
Double Degree Programme students defend their final dissertation either at UniMi or at HSE St Petersburg, which is valid for both universities.
