HSE Entered the Top 20 Universities in QS EECA Ranking.
HSE improved last year result which went up by 6 positions and took the 17th place in the ranking of the top universities from emerging European and Central Asian countries.
105 universities of Russia are presented in the ranking, 14 of them belong to top-50 of ranking. Thus, Russia takes the first position in a number of universities included in this ranking and improved last year result.
HSE demonstrated growth in almost all the ranking indexes as well as in institutional QS ranking. HSE ranks the highest positions in the ‘Web Impact’ and ‘International Research Network’ categories, which are not considered in the main QS ranking.
QS EECA ranking has been published annually since 2014, then it included 100 universities. This year the list was extended to 353 universities. Ranking evaluates universities according to 10 main criteria: academic reputation for the last 5 years (30%), reputation among employers for the last 5 years (20%), the number of publications in Scopus per staff member (10%), the number of citations per published paper (5%), international research network (10%), web impact (5%), faculty/student ratio (10%), staff with PhD share (5%), shares of international students (2,5%) and international faculty (2,5%).
