Student expedition to the Himalayas: applications open until 20 March
Applications for the student expedition to the Indian Himalayas are still being accepted until 20 March.
From 26 April to 7 May, a group of students from HSE Campus in St. Petersburg will take part in a field expedition to the Indian Himalayas, organised jointly with the University of Delhi. Expedition participants will visit the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, and collect data to further assess the role of traditional knowledge systems in sustainable development in the Indian Himalayas.
Visit Schedule (including travelling from Saint-Petersburg to New Delhi) from 26 April to 7 May 2024.
The University provides 4 travel grants for students to cover travel to and from the expedition site, visa and living costs.
Selection for participation is on a competitive basis. Applications are accepted from undergraduate and postgraduate students of HSE Campus in St. Petersburg, regardless of their year of study.
MAIN SELECTION CRITERIA:
- a foreign passport valid for at least 9 months (for Russian citizens)
- English language no lower than B2
- Endurance and a high level of physical training
- Absence of chronic diseases
- Camping experience
- Teamwork skills
