This autumn students from the United States came to study at HSE University - Saint Petersburg via CIEE to learn more about Russian culture, history, and people.
HSE University – Saint Petersburg Summer School offers a wide range of courses corresponding to different students’ interests. However, Summer School is not only about studies: eventful programme, exploring the Cultural Capital of Russia during the white nights, meeting new friends from all over the world – this is not a complete list of reasons to participate in St. Petersburg HSE Summer School.
The Summer School of the Francophone Organisation on European Studies and Education in Social Sciences (OFFRES - Organisation francophone pour la formation et la recherche européennes en sciences humaines) was held at the beginning of July 2019 in St. Petersburg with the support of HSE University. The school brought together 60 researchers from almost 20 countries. Over the course of a week, school participants organised lectures and seminars around the theme, 'Empires: Centre and Periphery' in 5 areas: cinema, literature, philosophy, history, and political science.
Higher School of Economics - Saint Petersburg is one of the most international universities in Russia. Almost 30% of its academic programmes are held fully in English, each fifth graduate had an internship or studied abroad, and each twentieth graduate continues his or her education getting a master’s degree abroad. Already in its fourth year, HSE University – St Petersburg International Summer School commenced this past week on July 1. During the next 13 weeks (actually, it goes beyond the summer session) students from all around the globe will enhance their knowledge in a wide range of fields.

Under the ‘Study Abroad Programme in Russian Language and Culture’ students improve their language proficiency and explore the Russian cultural heritage. Recently, they have been to Veliky Novgorod.
