Results of Application Review (Portfolio Competition)
Based on the results of your application evaluation, the decision of the degree programme’s admission committee shall be posted in your personal account, as follows:
1. Recommend for admission to a state-funded place (a scholarship).
A final decision on admission to state-funded places shall be published on the ‘For International Applicants’ page in your personal account, once all respective applications have been approved by the HSE Student Selection Committee.
Required Documents for Scholarship Candidates
Required Documents:
- ORIGINAL Scholarship Application completed in English with a picture in the upper right corner (3×4 cm, color or black and white on matte paper) signed by the applicant. You can download the form and guidelines here.
- Your diploma(s) COPY with supplements indicating the subjects studied and marks (grades) received. If you have not yet received your bachelor’s diploma at the time of submission, you can send an official academic transcript (with grades) that reflects the entire period that you have studied at that institution. Documents must be translated and certified by an official notary/translation service.
- Standard general medical certificate COPY confirming that you are medically fit. Document must be translated and certified by an official notary/translation service.
- Medical certificate COPY indicating HIV test results. Document must be translated and certified by an official notary/translation service.
- Medical certificate COPY indicationg tuberculosis test results. You may sumbit the results of your X-ray screening that states that you do not have tuberculosis. Document must be translated and certified by an official notary/translation service.
- Medical certificate COPY indicating hepatitis test results. Document must be translated and certified by an official notary/translation service.
- Passport COPY you will use when applying for your Russian visa. Document must be translated and certified by an official notary/translation service.

2. Recommend for admission to a fee-paying place.
Depending on results of your application review, you may become eligible for the HSE Top Applicant Scholarship:
- 50-59 score — 25% of the annual tuition fee waiver
- above 60 score — 50% of the annual tuition fee waiver
Required Documents for Fee-Paying Candidates
Required Documents:
- Translated and notarized COPY of the passport you will use when applying for your Russian visa. Please note: The expiration date must be no earlier than 18 months from your anticipated arrival date.
- A translated and officially legalized COPY of your diploma with transcript indicating the subjects studied and marks/grades received. If you have not yet received your diploma at the time of submission, you can send an official academic transcript (with grades) that reflects the entire period that you have studied at that institution.

3. Reject your application.
If you apply to more than one programme, both programmes consider your application simultaneously. If both programmes reject your application, unfortunately, we are unable to admit you to our graduate studies this year.

If your status has been changed to ‘recommended for admission to a state-funded place’ or ‘recommended for admission to a fee-paying place’, please proceed to STEP 6.
