Course Syllabus

Abstract

This course introduces the principles and methods of data collection and proceeding for business performance evaluation, planning, control, and decision making. It emphasizes traditional and activity-based costing methods and marginal approach in performance analysis, cost-volume-profit analysis, short-term assets and cash management, budgeting approaches and managerial control instruments, responsibilities and performance measurement of business operating segments and projects, pricing and revenue management with focus on transfer pricing and intercomany budgeting in international companies.

  • By the end of spring semester students are expected to apply managerial accounting analytical tools for internal control, pricing and developing different budgets for financial planning purposes as well as to get essential skills in capital budgeting techniques.
