Course Syllabus

Abstract

This course covers the essential core of the first part of modern microeconomic theory including consumer theory, firm theory, and general equilibrium. Students should acquire an understanding of the principles and methods of analyzing how economic decisions are made by households and firms, and how they interact to determine the quantities and prices of goods and the allocation of resources in equilibrium.

    Each CT is based on tasks similar to optional homework assignments after previous class.

  • non-blocking The midterm exam
    The midterm exam will be in-class and open-book (120 minutes). The midterm exam covers the material from the first half of the course. Only verified medical documentation will be accepted to excuse not taking the final exam at the scheduled time!

    The final exam will be in-class and open-book (120 minutes). The final exam covers the material from the second half of the course. Only verified medical documentation will be accepted to excuse not taking the final exam at the scheduled time!
