First HSE St. Petersburg course in Health Economics begins....

In January 2016, the first official bachelors course in Health Economics began at the St. Petersburg campus of HSE. The course provides an extensive introduction to the main themes of contemporary Health Economics, will run for 9 weeks and has almost 50 Economics finalists enrolled on it.

The Challenge of Healthy Ageing

The Centre for Health Economics, Management and Policy held it’s first ‘work in progress’ seminar on December 23rd 2015. The seminar addressed one of the main challenges facing both developed and emerging economies – namely, that of ageing populations. Three promising working papers were presented covering the interaction between mental health and social support; the role of social capital in healthy ageing; and the problems of using subjective health measures in health related research.
