Prof Sergei Kadochnikov, Director of HSE University –  St Petersburg, Prof Maxim Khomyakov, Deputy Director International, and Prof Elena Rogova, Dean of St Petersburg School of Economics and Management, had several meetings with representatives of foreign universities in order to develop student exchange programmes as well as strengthen cooperation in education and research.

The programme of the visit included negotiations with Chinese and European universities such as Zhejiang University (China), EDHEC Business School (France), University of Navarra (Spain), Technical University of Munich (Germany), Polytechnic University of Milan (Italy), University of Lausanne (Switzerland), University Pompeo Fabra (Spain) and others.

It is no coincidence that the executives of the universities came to China the other day. On January 21-22, an annual EFMD Conference gathered Deans and Directors from academia, business, public service and consultancy. Every year the conference is held at a member’s site, and in this year it took place at China Europe International Business School (CEIBS). Being a network of business schools and corporations, EFMD includes nearly 900 organizations from across the globe, including HSE University.

The visit resulted in signing new agreements, in particular, with Tongji University School of Economics and Management and Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. These agreements offer mutual student exchange, and starting from Autumn Semester 2019, the cohorts of students from both universities are expected to go for studying abroad.

Thus, overall number of destinations for student exchange at HSE University – St Petersburg has reached 83 universities located in 26 countries.
