Contemporary Development Trends in Logistics

On the 10th April 2015 the HSE laboratory for logistical research in St Petersburg and the Makarov University of Maritime and Inland Shipping held the XIV International Applied Research Conference on Contemporary Development Trends in Logistics.

More than 150 people came to the conference from Estonia, Finland, Uzbekistan, USA, Russia, Poland, Kazakhstan and Belarus.

The conference ran two parallel sections. The first held lectures on Contemporary Development Trends in Logistics. In the second, entitled Logistics: International Cooperation, Problems and Solutions, international guests presented papers in English. The speakers included teachers from the Department of Logistics and Supply Chains Management at HSE St Petersburg, Associate Professors Nina Vorobyeva, A. Mayevsky and Vadim Sokolov. Master’s students on the Strategic Logistics Management programme were also given the opportunity to present papers.

There was also a roundtable discussion on Logistics, supply chain management, organising cargo transfers and personnel issues.
