The key mission of this trip is to develop partnerships in extramural modules of ICPE's continuing education programmes. We and our colleagues from India discussed the launch of joint educational formats for attendees of the flagship programmes at ICPE, which include visiting Indian enterprises in the manufacturing sector and studying the specific features of management of international organisations. We have managed to build a constructive dialogue and test hypotheses about what modern continuing education should be like for leaders: interdisciplinary, technological, and with a strong practical focus and immersion in other business cultures.
The three-day programme featured plenary discussions, presentations of innovative programmes, and meetings with representatives of universities and business schools from the USA, Canada, Australia, South Africa, Brazil, China, Sweden, Italy, the UK, and Russia. The key discussion topics were sustainable development, ecology and eco-management, the influence of artificial intelligence on economics and supply chains, strategic management, and leadership in the age of technologies.
'This agenda organically continues the aspiration of HSE University–St Petersburg to enhance cooperation with leading Indian universities, which has been actively developing recently,' highlighted Manoj Sharma.
The partnership with the Indian Institute of Management Indore opens up new opportunities for HSE University–St Petersburg to create interdisciplinary programmes with strong practical elements and immersion in the business cultures of the Asian region. Plans are underway to launch module internships and joint projects, which will help attendees to reach a new level of management practice in the global context.
'IIM Indore showed us their university, a dream city, and allowed us to compare notes with the global academic agenda. Now is the time for joint courses, module internships, and projects, which can help ICPE enter a new level of management practices in the Asian context,' recapped Andrey Fedorov.
IIM Indore is a private business school founded in the mid-1990s. Among its alumni are top managers of systemically important Indian companies. There are more than 300,000 applications for only 150 places across all faculties.
