Application review and entrance examinations

HSE will be holding its special admission campaign for international students and your application may be considered for both a state-funded place (tuition waiver under an established quota) and a fee-paying place.

The timeframe for international students’ submissions of applications

November 1, 2024 – August 11, 2025

* You have to take entrance exams / upload your portfolio to the personal online account before August 18.

If you select two different programmes, you must take the entrance exam for each of them, based on the list of entrance exams (one exam per subject). 

If you plan to take an on-site entrance exam in your home country (as per the schedule for exams held outside of the Russian Federation), your results will be included in your Foreign Applicant’s Personal Account within 2 weeks following the end of the examination period in your home country.

You can also access your account to find out whether or not you are recommended for admission to a fee-paying place, as well as whether or not you are eligible for a discount based on your entrance exam results.

IMPORTANT: If you are the holder of an international exam certificate in English and/or Mathematics, the results of these examinations can be transferred in accordance with the conversion scale.

Your exam results will appear in the Foreign Applicant’s Personal Account after the completion of the exam process within a week.
