A scientific seminar of the HSE Department of Political Science and International relations

On December 10, an international scientific and practical seminar dedicated to Human Rights Day was held. The topic was "Human Rights as a concept and practice of human rights protection". The seminar was organized by the Department of Political Science and International Relations of the HSE School of Social Sciences and Area Studies-Saint Petersburg, the Research Committee on Human rights of the RPSA, and the Interregional Humanitarian and Political Science Center STRATEGY.
A. V. Shishlov, Commissioner for human rights in Saint Petersburg, and V. M. Gefter, Executive Director of the Institute of human rights (Moscow), addressed the participants with greetings. The Consuls-General of Romania, Cyprus, Finland, the Netherlands, and Norway made presentations on Human rights. Eight students from the Higher School of Economics-Saint Petersburg, Higher School of Economics-Moscow, and RANEPA performed presentations on the topic of the seminar.
