On September 23, in the Russian House in Jakarta, the delegation from HSE University-St Petersburg headed by the director Anna Tyshetskaya introduced Indonesian school students and their parents to the educational programmes at the university and opportunities of studies in Russia.

During the Open Day, the representatives of HSE University-St Petersburg presented the opportunities for studies at the university, educational programmes, and advantages of studies and life in Russia for international students.

'HSE University offers plenty of courses and programmes that are fully in English. Even without knowing the Russian language, international students successfully study and graduate from HSE University. In this, students often get help from our professional international team', says Anna Tyshetskaya.

The HSE delegation also held meetings with Sergei Tolchenov, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Indonesia, and Alexander Masaltsev, the Trade Commissioner of Russia in Indonesia. The participants discussed the opportunities of promoting Russian education in the international arena as well as issues of increasing awareness about Russia, its culture and educational opportunities to break through the stereotypes and improve the image of our country abroad. According to Anna Tyshetskaya, educational mobility plays a key role in establishing diplomatic ties acting as a soft power which facilitates long-term cooperation and understanding between countries.
