In 2026, for the third time, HSE University-St Petersburg has served as a platform for global academic dialogue, bringing together representatives of 45 universities from 20 countries. Participants in the International Partners' Week were traditionally assisted by volunteers chosen from among HSE University-St Petersburg students: they met and accompanied guests, helped them get to know the university better, and immersed them in Russian culture.

HSE University keeps expanding the partnership with Latin America: at IPW-2026, experts from leading South American universities delivered lectures for HSE University-St Petersburg students on environmental projects, social politics and international relations, and discussed prospects of cooperation with Russia.

IPW-2026 outlined a new vector in the development of academic mobility: the universities place their stake on interdisciplinary projects. In the framework of the official programme, university representatives from India, Brazil, Indonesia and the Middle East discussed new cooperation directions in this sphere.

HSE University-St Petersburg continues the tradition of international student exhibition: the first joint initiative of the university and the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (Indonesia) at IPW-2025 gathered more than 100 participants. This year, the finalists of the contest 'Cinema as Cultural Brand' from Russia, France, China, India and Brazil presented their works devoted to visual and communication projects.

It is the third time that HSE University-St Petersburg has become a centre for a global academic dialogue. Dozens of lectures and workshops by researchers from China, Brazil, Mexico, India, Japan, Serbia, Tunisia and other countries: the programme of the HSE St Petersburg International Partners' Week started with the Student Day. The venue for the global academic dialogue was the Rope Shop Educational Space.

At the end of May, HSE University-St Petersburg became a platform for meetings of researchers and professors from the leading universities worldwide. The participants of the International Partners' Week were accompanied by volunteers selected among students of HSE University-St Petersburg. Young people helped the guests in an unfamiliar city and introduced them to Russian culture and the university. HSE University–St Petersburg wrapped up International Partners' Week with a lesson on Portuguese, a workshop on the dances of various Brazilian regions, a lecture about one of the most popular Brazilian musicians and a live performance by his devotees. Organised by the Bachelor’s programme in Media Communications, the 'Viva o Brasil!' festival invited students to explore the culture of one of the largest countries in Latin America.

The Rope Shop building hosted more than 30 lectures in the key areas of education, science and creative industries. An extensive educational programme, prepared by leaders from the academic communities of Brazil, Indonesia, South Korea, Japan, Mexico, India, and other countries, allowed students to immerse themselves in the practices of global knowledge without leaving their university.

During the International Partners' Week, the Rope Shop building hosted the fashion show of the graduates of the School of Art and Design—master's track 'Creating a Fashion Brand' and bachelor's programme 'Fashion Design'—under the supervision of Leonid Alekseev, curator and founder of the brand 'House of Leo'.

At the Rope Shop building, the International Partners' Week featured the opening ceremony of the student exhibition of the international posters contest winners and finalists organised by the HSE University-St Petersburg School of Art and Design together with the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (Indonesia). Designers and illustrators from two countries created alternative posters for Russian and Indonesian films.
