Welcome to HSE University St. Petersburg

HSE University St. Petersburg International Partners’ Days is a major international event created to strengthen HSE University cooperation bonds with its global partners and encourage new developments and dimensions in areas of higher education and research.

International Partners’ Days will provide a platform for thoughtful insights and facilitate dialogues among the exponents. This event will feature discussions, workshops, and expert presentations, alongside a delightful cultural experience that will display the beauty and history of St. Petersburg.

International Partners’ Days is a brilliant opportunity to learn more about HSE University St. Petersburg and share the best practices in international education and research, to enhance existing partnerships and explore opportunities for new projects.

The programme of events will also include HSE University St. Petersburg Student Fair, where our partner universities will be able to present their educational programmes to students and colleagues.

As a part of the vibrant cultural programme, you will be able to explore St. Petersburg, the former capital of Imperial Russia with its magnificent palaces, parks, and monuments. Guided excursions around the most important highlights of the ‘Venice of the North’ are included.

On May 23 in the Presidential Library in St Petersburg, leaders and experts from 23 universities of 15 countries participated in the first day of the International Partners' Days. Apart from the lively discussion about global tendencies in the development of higher education, HSE University has signed partner agreements with the universities of India, Uzbekistan and Oman.

Practical Information

International Partners’ Days will take place at HSE University St. Petersburg on 23-25 May 2024. It is the period of the so-called ‘white nights’, heralding the arrival of summer. This is the best time to experience our historical city, Russian culture and Russian traditions.

Participants are expected to arrive on Wednesday, 22 May.

Please note that you may need a visa to enter Russia. See the ‘Visa’ section for further information.

Accommodation, all transfers, coffee breaks, meals and cultural events within the IPD programme are covered by HSE University St. Petersburg.

We kindly ask our partners and friends to register before 5 April 2024.

Please note that you may need a visa to enter Russia. If you do, please indicate this in your registration form.

HSE University St. Petersburg will issue official invitation letters for ‘humanitarian visas’ and provide assistance to IPW participants requiring Russian visas. Please note: this invitation is not a visa. It does not give the holder permission to enter Russia. It is a document necessary for the visa application.

You can find out what your visa requirements are by going to the website of the Russian Embassy or Consulate in your home country.

It usually takes at least 30 days to issue and send out a visa invitation letter, and up to 10 days for a visa to be issued from the date of visa application.
