Several Programme "Comparative Politics of Eurasia" students are taking part in the short mobility programmes this year. Guilherme Costa Gomes and Anna Zheltoukhova have already shared their King's College London experience. Their groupmate Daria Pochasheva chose another route to paerticipate in a business summer school in Zhejiang University (China). You can find her impressions from China below.

«"In heaven there is paradise, on earth Suzhou and Hangzhou", as a Chinese saying goes like. I managed to participate in the "Idea Explorer" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Summer Camp thanks to the cooperations between HSE Saint Petersburg and Zhejiang University.

What does every journey to Asia start with? With a plane, of course. It takes a long time to arrive there but it is worth it, trust me. These are the reasons.  The Chinese Universities are absolutely amazing. They are like a city into a city. There have a building for each faculty, several separate canteens and coffee houses, their own bank outlets, hospitals, mail, several stadiums, parks and many gardens.

The Summer School concerned business, innovations and entrepreneurship. To be mentioned, the Zhejiang University is in top-three of Chinese Universities rating in the business and entrepreneurship sphere. The best professors teach us to make business plans and apply them on the Chinese market. The lectures are held in the morning, and after lunch, we visit the companies that share their success histories and lifehacks. We have seen the startup incubator Getui, the Fudi Company Office and in the end of the School, we will visit the main office of world-known Alibaba. The presentation of our Chinese business project to a strict commission will be a final stage.

These Summer Programmes definitely not only give the professional knowledge, but also broaden your horizons, and fill your social circle with international persons. For example, the guys from Canada, Singapore, Hong Kong, Pakistan, Great Britain and Mexico has participated in the school this year. We are enjoying the wonderful spare time together.

I want to thank the HSE Saint Petersburg for this opportunity and call all the students to take part in such programmes in the future. Discover Europe and Asia! This is so great indeed!»
