The Pandemic is not an Obstacle for Expanding International Cooperation
Liudmila Veselova, academic supervisor of the programme 'Business and Politics in Modern Asia', took part in meeting with ESC Rennes Business School students.
Despite the pandemic and the impossibility of international mobility, the HSE continues to expand the range of partner universities, as well as deepen cooperation. On December 9, 2020, at the invitation of the ESC Rennes School of Business (France), HSE Associate Professor Liudmila Veselova took part in a meeting with students in the framework of the so-called "Geopolitic Café". Prof. Veselova made a presentation and talked about the development of the Higher School of Economics, as well as the prospects and opportunities for studying on the English-language master's program "Business and Politics in Modern Asia".
French students are showing great interest in the situation in Russia, as well as in how the people of Russia behave during the pandemic. A number of questions were asked regarding Russian policy, including the prospects for interaction with the PRC, as well as possible changes in relations with the United States due to the presidential elections. The students were interested to know if the situation in Crimea has changed, and how the Russian government sees the development of this region, as well as how the Chinese initiative "One Belt, One Road" has affected infrastructure and entrepreneurship in Russia.
