Course Syllabus

Abstract

This course is an introduction to business in and with Asia. We will begin with a brief description of what is international business and its specifics, spend the middle of the semester exploring the main features and tendencies that define modern business in and with Asia, and finish with a series of professional meetings with a group of experts, who have very unique experience in Asia. Meanwhile, we will apply received knowledge by solving real-time business cases.

    The degree of involvement in the discussion is estimated - the number of correct and complete answers, based on the lecture materials. Students must be active in class.
  • non-blocking Group Tasks
    The Group task is conducted in writing and oral form. Answers to questions should be expanded and well explained. Students should demonstrate the knowledge of the material covered, understanding of the main basics of business and its problems discussed during lectures and seminars Also, students should be able to examine main trends, advantages, and disadvantages of establishing different types of enterprises in Asian countries, to compare various opportunities to set up or to relocate business in this region.
