Alexander Yao Ganyo Ahiekpor arrived in St Petersburg in 2018 to study in the HSE University master’s programme ‘Management and Analytics for Business’. After graduation, he decided to continue his studies and enrolled in a second master’s programme ‘International Business’, to further expand his academic and professional expertise. Today, Alexander works in the Russian fintech company and continues to build his career in Russia. In this interview, he shares his experience of adapting to a new cultural environment and reflects on how his studies at HSE University-St Petersburg shaped his professional path.

Gisel Sarahi Vergara Herrera, second-year student of the Master’s programme ‘Arts and Culture Management,’ became a winner of the StudRussia all-Russian competition for international students. On October 10, the World Mental Health Day, psychologists from HSE University-St Petersburg Tatiana Kazantseva and Ksenia Kashentseva shared how they help students overcome difficulties and adapt to life in a new country.

Expert sessions, an introduction to Russian culture, and international networking—on September 17–22, Nizhny Novgorod hosted the World Youth Festival Assembly. It united more than two thousand people from 120 countries and various Russian regions and universities, including HSE University–St Petersburg.

Waiz Siddiqui is a second-year student of the Master's programme 'Data Analytics for Business and Economics.' Having completed a bachelor's degree in business management in Pakistan, he decided to continue his studies abroad.
