St Petersburg School of Art and Design

The St Petersburg HSE Art and Design School is a division of HSE University, the leading educational institution in the field of design, fashion, and art in Russia.

We teach contemporary design and art skills, including the most important one: not to act according to a template, but to think systematically, create concepts, and know the rules of the profession in order to break them properly.

We implement a project-oriented approach to education and have a close relationship with the industry. This allows every student to gain experience in real project work and become skilled designers capable of solving complex problems in the teams of leading design studios.

From their very first year, students start building an impressive and extensive portfolio. This is thanks to the well-designed and dynamic training programme, which allows students to gain all the necessary design skills.

Students are immersed in a professional creative environment that fosters growth and development. Their initiatives are encouraged by mentors and curators who are current practitioners in the field of design.
