On November 29, Olga Silyutina and Alina Bakhitova gave presentations on methods of semantic analysis and semantic networks as part of the regular seminar of the Research Group "Machine Learning and Social Computing".
On the seminar of our Research Group on November 16, Olga Silyutina told about the ways of applying the LIME method. The classical tasks of machine learning were used as examples: regression and classification, including the demonstration in both R and Python.
From the 22nd to the 23rd of September, participants of our Research Group Alexander Sirotkin and Alina Bakhitova and 3rd-year students of BA "Sociology and Social Informatics" Anna Bataeva and Olga Silyutina took part in the educational conference Stepicon 2017, which was held at the main office of Stepik.
On October 14 another seminar of our Research Group "Machine Learning and Social Computing" was held. Andrey Shelopugin together Alexander Sirotkin presented their work on: "Can I win at the bookmaker: rating models and social media."
On 18th of September the eSports seminar, organized by the International Laboratory of Intangible-driven Economy from the HSE Campus in Perm. Researchers from the Laboratory and participants of our Research Group presented their works in the field of cybersport.
On September 11-12 at Wolverhampton University, GB, a Summer School devoted to alternative indicators was held. The school was attended by Anastasia Kuznetsova, who analyzes the webometric and bibliometric indicators of Russian universities, and student of the BA "Sociology" Nikita Bazhenov. They share their impressions of the trip.
Participant of the Research Group "Machine Learning and Social Computing" Alina Bakhitova and students of the BA "Sociology" - Darya Maglyovanaya, Olga Silyutina and Alexandra Vidyaeva visited the summer school on network analysis organized by the Center for German and European Studies. During the week, they studied both the basics of network structures and more advanced methods for analyzing dynamic networks.
The symposium of young scientists "Cyberspace: Prospective socio-economic and humanitarian research" was held on 20th June. The symposium was at the ITMO University and became one of the events opening the Information Society Week Conference.
21-23 of June the conference "DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION AND GLOBAL SOCIETY" (DTGS'17) was held at the ITMO University. It was organized by the Higher School of Economics in St. Petersburg and the ITMO University. The particiants of our Reseach Groop took part and presented thei works.
On the 27 of May another seminar of the Research Group "Machine Learning and Social Computing" was held. Anastasia Nesterenko and Ivan Mishalkin told about their scientific projects.
