The Show That Cannot Leave Anyone Indifferent
Every year M&M is an unimaginable show reflecting the whole range of students ' talents. Each educational program is presented by one couple supported by other students. This is not a beauty contest. It is a real magic, where guys express themselves as creatively as they can.
In 2019, the theme of the M&M is a circus performance. The concert venue was transformed into a circus arena, where entertainers, magicians and jesters presented their performances. The sow started with meeting all the characters; camera flashed capturing the participants and their spectators in an improvised photo zone (there was even a red carpet... where else can you see such a show during your student years?). Along with this, traditional circus sweets and treats were offered to everyone! Just like in childhood, but the organization was at the highest level – not every "adult team" is able to implement the idea as perfect as they did.
Talking about the organizers, the well-known student organization "Students for students" has once again surpassed itself. The quality of preparation both technically and visually can be called the best: music and sound, perfectly matched light, video, photoshoot for participants, performances of the opening and closing of the event matching with the topic, transitions between appearances, additional intellectual and sports competitions, partners of the event. We can write about it endlessly, and if you have not seen it with your own eyes – do not miss the opportunity next year.
The performances of the candidates for the title of Mister and Miss HSE Saint Petersburg surprised with their uniqueness – original choreography, own music and songs, unique plots. It is difficult to imagine that the characters are ordinary students who have just passed the spring examination session, and the next day after the show will return to their deadlines.
This show is a space for creativity, a place where you test yourself for will-power, for resistance and overcome, perhaps, a lot of personal barriers. But it is very complicated to act without support and a team of like-minded people: every couple needs them. And the guys from their programs help tremendously!
All participants put their strength, soul and time as much as they could. Many thanks to everyone involved in making the show – you gave us incredible emotions.
This year the winners of M&M are Alina Savitskaya and Damir Fazylov from the educational program of Oriental Studies. Their performance was associated with the theme of Bollywood – Indian songs, dances, stories. Everything was done perfectly! A huge strong-minded team, ready to do their best. Excellent level of training. Bright, sensual, plastic (acrobatics, too, was!) and wonderful.
