On Wednesday at 16-00 at the regular meeting of the joint interdisciplinary seminar of the Leontief Centre, Sociological Institute, HSE and St. Petersburg Institute of RAS Tomash Sedlachek, the Czech economist, senior macroeconomic strategist of Czechoslovak Trade Bank, professor at Karlov University in Prague, presented a report on the «Economy of Good and Evil».

March 22 in St. Petersburg a round table on "Institutional Reform and the Socio-Economic Development of St. Petersburg in the Post-Soviet Period", was organized by the Leontief Centre, together with the St. Petersburg branch of the HSE as part of the international scientific-practical conference on this very subject. The round table was moderated by Director General ANO ICSER "Leontief Centre", HSE St. Petersburg Professor L. Limonov and HSE St. Petersburg President A. Khodachek.

A report on "Happiness in Russia in the context of modernization theory" was made by E.D. Ponarin, Professor, Doctor of Social Sciences (academic degree of PhD, University of Michigan), head of the Laboratory of Comparative Social Research in HSE.

February 14-15, in the conference hall of the Leontief Centre (St. Petersburg, the 7th Krasnoarmeyskaya Street, 25) regular conference Leontief Readings - 'Economic Science: methodology, theory and practice' was held. The conference brought together leading Russian and foreign scientists and politicians to discuss the following issues: economic exercises: methodology, history and modernity; economic analysis of the world economy and international relations: the socio-economic processes in Russian society.
