HSE University-St Petersburg International Partners' Week continued with the Academic Day. Experts from different countries and researchers from HSE University held more than ten strategic sessions and discussed the ethics of AI use, the development of diplomacy in the age of multipolarity and new formats of university cooperation.

On May 20, more than 100 delegates from 20 countries, including China, Brazil, India, Indonesia, the Philippines, Qatar, and the UAE, took part in the business programme of HSE International Partners’ Week 2026. The key sessions of the large-scale forum, dedicated to priority areas of global cooperation in science and higher education, were held at the Sergey Kuryokhin Centre for Contemporary Art in St Petersburg.

It is the third time that HSE University-St Petersburg has become a centre for a global academic dialogue. Dozens of lectures and workshops by researchers from China, Brazil, Mexico, India, Japan, Serbia, Tunisia and other countries: the programme of the HSE St Petersburg International Partners' Week started with the Student Day. The venue for the global academic dialogue was the Rope Shop Educational Space.

From May 18 to 22, HSE University–St Petersburg will become the centre for global academic dialogue as International Partners' Week brings together more than 100 delegates from 47 universities and 20 countries.

Andrei Ternikov, Associate Professor at the St Petersburg School of Economics and Management at HSE University–St Petersburg, has developed a method for conducting online exams that significantly limits students’ ability to use ChatGPT and other AI models to obtain correct answers. From September 1 to October 1, HSE University–St Petersburg students will be able to apply for exchange studies at international universities in the 2026 spring semester. There are more than 40 universities available in 20 countries, from Armenia to Mexico.
