Irina Ivashkovskaya gave an overview of how the School of Finance operates, the MA programmes in finance offered in Moscow, the e-magazine Corporate Finance, and the current areas of research that the St Petersburg team would be welcome to become involved in. Discussions focused in particular on research in the area of accounting and audits, assessing intellectual capital, and empirical research in corporate finance. The meeting was productive, and numerous questions were raised.
Pathways for cooperation on joint projects between HSE St Petersburg and Moscow were established. The first step will be to hold a research seminar at the School of Finance, on February 17, which our staff will join via videolink.
