We Study not for School but for Life: Graduation-2022
On July 1, for the first time since 2019, the multi-purpose sporting Sibur Arena hosted the traditional graduation ceremony for the entire campus in the usual face-to-face format! Diplomas were solemnly awarded to graduates of bachelor's and master's degrees, and the celebration ended with a concert by the Royal Band cover group.
The general graduation party is a tradition of the Higher School of Economics in St. Petersburg. Students and professors of different educational programmes and faculties feel like one big family and are ready to share the happiest moment together. More than one and a half thousand graduates and their parents took part in the event this year. On the stage, congratulations and parting words were heard from the Director of the campus Anna Tyshetskaya, as well as the deans of the faculties. Diplomas with honors were awarded to 181 bachelors and 138 masters.
This year, 16 masters graduated from the educational programme "Global and Regional History". Five of them received diplomas with honors: Mustafa Serdar Karakaya, Svetlana Kokotkina, Daria Moskvina, Anna Smirnova and Arda Kukul. Congratulations to the guys on their successful graduation from the Higher School of Economics in St. Petersburg and wish them all the best in the future!
The graduation ceremony ended with a surprise concert from the university administration. The music group Royal Band performed the best songs of Lady Gaga, Artik&Asti, Little Big, Slava Marlow and others.
The celebration became really special — during the performance of the Royal Band, Alina, a graduate of the Master's programme "Applied Economics and Mathematical Methods" of the St. Petersburg School of Economics and Management, received a marriage proposal from her boyfriend Daniil right on the stage.
