From May 19 to 23, HSE University — St. Petersburg hosted International Partners Week, an event aimed at strengthening the university’s ties with global partners and fostering collaboration in research and higher education. This article provides an overview of the expert session Bridging Cultures, organized by the School of Arts and Humanities in St. Petersburg.

Before the start of the academic year, we keep introducing you to the professors of HSE University-St Petersburg. Ekaterina Kalemeneva supervises the Department of History and teaches Bachelor's and Master's students. In her research, she focuses on historical urban studies, Soviet urban development and the Thaw era. The School of Arts and Humanities opened the Laboratory of Critical Theory of Culture. There, the researchers will engage in the development of new theory of culture in the fast-paced modern world. The head of the Laboratory was assigned to be Ivan Mikirtumov, Doctor of Philosophy and professor at HSE University-St Petersburg.

Anastasia Markova is a fourth-year student of the Bachelor's programme 'Design'. During her studies, she has conducted several visual research projects, one of which took third place in the Student Research Paper Competition. Anastasia told the HSE News Service about her decision to participate and finding sources and illustrations for her research.
