Student Digital Support Centre in Humanities and Social Sciences
Information about the Centre
The Centre has been created by several faculties of HSE – Saint Petersburg in cooperation with the IT department.
The Centre aims at providing the necessary methodological and technical support in studying academic disciplines that relate to IT technologies. Successful learning requires opportunity both for students and their lecturers to have an option to consult with a specialist highly competent in using digital instruments in Humanities and Social Sciences.
Another goal of the Centre is to give the students access to specific resources and software dealing with cloud technologies and to provide advice on their use for project work and learning assignments.
Most importantly, the Center is to help students who are not entirely confident in using IT for learning objectives and doing research.
Who can participate
During study modules 1 and 2 the Centre offers its services only to the students enrolled on the following academic programs:
- MP “Language Technology in Business and Education”
- MP “Modern Social Analysis”, track “Analysis of Social data”;
- MP “Master’s Programme 'Cultural and Event Tourism Management”
- MP “Data Analytics for Politics and Society”
In the first study module consultations will be conducted by Maksim A. Terpilovski, senior research fellow, Laboratory for social and cognitive informatics.
