A 1-year Graduate Student of the Department of History and Research Assistant at the Laboratory for Ecological and Technological History Evgeniia Platonova Was Admitted to a Full-Time Advanced Doctoral Program

Evgeniia finished the BA program “History” at HSE Saint Petersburg in 2017. Her academic interests include gender and cultural history of the Soviet Union. In 2020 Evgeniia got a MA degree in Comparative History at the University (Budapest/Vienna). Also, she has been working at the research project“Material World of the Late Soviet Society in the Cold War…” led by associate professor Elena Kochetkova. In the program, Evgeniia will work on the PhD thesis devoted to masculinities in the Soviet fashion discourse in the 1950s-1960s.
