Event ended
On October 27 at 6:30 pm the Dutch journalist and writer, Remco Reiding will give a talk about the persistent search for the relatives of the Soviet soldiers buried in Leusden

During the seminar a screening of the documentary "A child of the Field of Honour" will take place and the project : "Russkoe Pole Slavy" will be discussed...

The documentary tells the story of the persistent search for the relatives of the Soviet soldiers buried in Leusden by the Dutch journalist/writer Remco Reiding.

In the Russian Field of Honour in Leusden near the Rusthof cemetery of Amersfoort, 865 war victims from the former Soviet Union were buried. Over the last 60 years their relatives knew nothing of the whereabouts of their fathers and brothers.

During the last 17 years Remco has managed to find more than 200 families of the Soviet soldiers and to inform them of their relatives' final resting place.
