Tatiana Borisova at February conferences on international law in London

On February 16-17 Tatiana Borisova took part in “Russia's Global Legal Trajectories: An International Workshop” at the School of Slavonic and East European Studies (SSEES), University College London with support of British Academy. 
In her paper Dr. Borisova challenged the eurocentric perspective, which has shaped the discourses about Russian law, and proposed a novel outlook on space and sovereignty as key aspects that have defined Russia’s legal trajectories in a long term perspective. The paper was based on the findings of her on-going collaborative project with Jane Burbank (New York University) ‘Russia: Rule of Law in Question’ hosted by Wissenschaftskolleg in Berlin in 2015-2016.

On February 14 Matt Craven (Centre for the study of Colonialism, Empire and International Law, University of London), Gerry Simpson (LSE) and Tatiana Borisova (Center for Historical Research, HSE St Petersburg) discussed historical legacies of Post-Beveridge International Law as a part of "LSE Festival: Beveridge 2.0. Rethinking the welfare state for the 21st century and the global context".
