HSE SPB Day has been held at Sevkabel Port in the open air. HSE students were congratulated on the beginning of the academic year by the trustees, faculty deans, and the rousing HSE Dance Club. The first-years had an initiation ceremony, participated in activities from student clubs, and danced to popular songs on the Gulf of Finland. They received well wishes from the professors, representatives of large companies and, of course, student organisations. HSE University-St Petersburg has held the traditional graduation ceremony for bachelor's and master's students. The 'Arena' event hall hosted more than 5,000 people: graduates and their loved ones, students, lecturers and deans. This year, HSE diplomas were awarded to more than 1,700 students, 295 of whom received honours diplomas. Read on to find out about the highlights of the 2023 graduation ceremony.

HSE Orientation Week came to an end. It was organised by the Career Centre and the Alumni Community. Within a week, there were 12 meetings at HSE University-St Petersburg in which 40 alumni of the campus and 350 first-years took part. The academic year is gradually gaining momentum, and textbooks, along with academic papers, are becoming a part of bedtime reading. This year, for the first time in its history, one of HSE’s biggest events will be held online. Expertise and a casual atmosphere, science and games, music and sports – everything we love about it will remain, but thanks to the endless possibilities of the virtual reality, anyone from any part of the world can join the festivities of the Brand New HSE Day.
