Test Period! How To Prepare For Exams Efficiently

Every students is afraid of failing the exams. Follow these simple rules to be succesfull during the exams.

Exam period students

During the session, students usually experience severe stress, and after the appearance of blocking grades, the load on studies has become much greater. To survive in such complicated conditions, you need to prepare in advance for the upcoming tests. Below I will outline some of the tricks that will help you survive the exams.

Focus on class

First, focus on class. Following this rule is the basis, but surprisingly, many college students fail to keep this. Students who talk or sleep with classmates in class, or students who just surf the internet! The most important thing when studying is how you spend your class time.  If you listen to what the teachers say is important in class and stick to it, you will not have any unknown problems when you take the test. Think about how your class's attitude depends on your test scores, so be sure to focus on your class time. Sit down two minutes before class, get your textbook ready, and wait for the teacher. Sit down and read carefully, rather than be prepared, you will be more focused in class.

Planning and Time Management

The second is planning. I have seen many friends asking me how making a plan is related to studying, which is very important. Planning can help you manage your time. Much more time can be useful than when you don't have a plan, and studying according to your plan will tell you how much have you done during the day, and will help you to reflect on yourself and improve upon your plans.

During the exam, you may feel that planning is more important than usual, because you can make more use of time, such as morning lookups, breaks, and lunch breaks. 10 minutes of rest may seem short, but if you take a day off, 50 minutes will add up to lunch and breakfast time. Did you know this? With a plan, we can make good use of our passing time without knowing it.

When making a plan, first identify the days of the month in which you can study, and the amount of study you need to do.

If you decide to study for a month, you decide how much to study for a week and how much to study for a day. The important thing is not to plan too hard and to decide how much you can do. When deciding what to do today, it is a good idea to set priorities and make a time management checklist.

Before you go to bed, you will have time to look back and see how you have kept your plans and have not kept them. If you close your eyes and review what you have studied during the day before you go to bed, it is good to have a long time in memory and review it again.

Repeated textbook review

The third is reading textbooks. You can borrow a textbook in the library, or buy it in a bookstore, or on the Internet. This is important, because huge amount of all problems come from textbooks. Have you even heard of the oblivion curve of Ebbing Haus? According to the oblivion curve of Ebbing Haus, people begin to erase their memories after 10 minutes of learning. You forget about 80% a month and you have to learn it seven times to make it your own.

It is important to study the textbook repeatedly because the problem can be forgotten and the most important concepts can be forgotten. If you look at the textbook many times and fully understand it, you can feel that even if you solve the problem, the wrong problem is more pronounced than before the textbook was read. Think, understand, and memorize flows and principles, and they will last a long time. In addition, if you review the lessons you have learned in the textbook, you will be able to remember them more effectively for a long time.

Do not miss classes

It sounds corny, but not all students attend at least 80% of all lectures and seminars. Some especially gifted students claim that they can prepare themselves at home, but without an accumulated grade, it will be difficult to get a positive final grade. In addition, not everything can be found in the textbook, a considerable proportion is taught only at lectures and seminars – so do not miss them.

When taking notes

The fourth is organizing notes. Write a summary of what the teacher said in lecture and what is in the textbook. In the case of a graph or a picture, it is good to draw it by hand and make it easy to see at a glance. There are some friends who organize notes like the ones they show, so do not worry about the letters or put a lot of weight on them, so you can take notes for yourself. The main thing is that you yourself understand what you have outlined.

In the best condition

Finally, condition control. I have friends who stay up late at night before the exam. When a person does not get enough sleep, he usually does not remember much of what he taught at night. During the test period, study according to your plan and make sure you fall asleep within the time you set. It is a good idea to adjust your conditions two to three weeks before the test to ensure your best condition.

Do not tremble and work hard till the end

You usually take week of testing. Do not think about the results of the test on the day, but study hard for the test of next subject. Do your best until the last day! It will be good to study the above method. It is so basic, but difficult to keep? Do not forget that the foundation is the most important. In addition, review is important. I hope you have a good result.
